Things going in threes / sorrows come not single spies. Otherwise a good day to be out and about.

My mother always used to say that things go in threes. Well, at the moment we have three privileged blokes in trouble: Boris Johnson, Prince Andrew and Novak Djokovic. It’s rather hard to feel sorry for any of them. They all seem to have been less than completely truthful and sensible.

Some people are saying about the Johnson situation that maybe we should not be blaming the whole mess on him. Surely his cabinet knew that parties were going on. Should we not be blaming them as well.

Here’s one of Mr Rosen’s “comments” on some of this:

“Dear Truss,

Excellent work with the 'We now need to move on' line. Glorious psychobabble that'll go down well with the woke-gone-mad Guardianistas, I'm sure.

Psycho excremento

Boris”

To which someone has commented:

“Trouble is we just move to the next revelation of yet another booze up in Downing Street.”

How many more booze ups can they have had?

The other question is this: who will replace Boris Johnson? I can’t think of anyone I would like to see in Downing Street at the moment.

Meanwhile, we’ve had a splendid day here in Saddleworth, despite the cockerel waking me at 6.30 again. he was i a neighbour;s garde this time. The day was a bit cloudy to start with and then moved on to blue sky and sunshine to finish off with. No doubt it will be cold tonight.

We went on a Diggle Chippy Hike, faster but less chatty that the sort of hike we had before the five year old started school but still very pleasant.

Here are some photos:

Life goes on. Stay safe and well, everyone!
