I’m waiting for my daughter to come and collect me. We’re going to visit Granddaughter Number Two at university in York. Here is her message to Granddaughter Number One, who lives a few miles from here: “Plan: finish getting these kids ready. Collect Tasmin. Get fuel. Collect gma. Get on the motorway at Denshaw.” These kids = the two smallest people. tasmin = Granddaughter Number One. gma = grandma = me. I wait to see how long it will take to get here to “collect gma”.
Usually we have glorious views on the way to York but I suspect it will be too cloudy and rainy to see much. It’s not as cold as it has been but the rain has been quite spectacular.
As the cold weather will undoubtedly return and the gritters will be out and about, here is a map of Scotland with inventive names for gritters.
I love the names given to such machines, there is a street sweeping machine that goes around here by the name of Bruce Sprinclean!
That’s all for today. I have a road trip waiting for me.
Life goes on. Stay safe and well, everyone!
