Wednesday wanderings with disrupted tram travel. And some interesting photos.

One of the things that the overnight upgrade on my iPad’s operating system (see yesterday’s moan about that) messed up was the ease of adding photos to my blog. For some reason it demanded ai go through a whole series of registering and putting in passwords, usually long-forgotten passwords before it would let me progress with a fairly routine activity. As a result, some of the photos may have been posted on the wrong order. So it goes.

Hopefully today will be more straightforward!

This morning I got up at the crack of dawn or maybe slightly before the crack of dawn. It was a fine dawn but I neglected to snap photos of it as I was more concerned with catching the right bus and tram to get me to the dental practice in Rochdale where my relatively recent dental implant was to be checked over. All was well! It was rather a long way to go to be reassured but we all need reassurance from time to time - even dental implant specialists! And I suspect the check-up was as much for him as for me.

My return journey was  somewhat disrupted as a “fault on the line” had caused the Bee Network to cancel trams between Oldham and Rochdale. Very annoying! I had to travel home on the bus, a rather longer journey time-wise, once I had found someone to tell,me which bus to catch. Fortunately the bus station is next to the tram stop!

All in all, a lot of messing around!

I have long maintained that the insistence on Prime Ministers being photographed with their spouses was a relatively recent development, imitating the US insistence on their being a “First Lady”. Then I found this photo collage including Mrs Thatcher with her significant other.

Here’s a cartoon, loosely based on Mafalda, commenting on the shooting of the ICE observer in the USA.

And as more Tory MPs defect to Reform, here is a suggestion that made me smile.

That’s all for today.

And, by the way, I still had immense difficulty getting photos posted!

Life goes on. Stay safe and well, everyone!
