Merry Christmas - mayhem everywhere!

This has been Christmas mayhem week.

Monday - mostly planning and shopping.

Tuesday - entertaining small grandchildren.

Wednesday - baking an getting ready for today. Last minute wrapping.

Today - IT’S CHRISTMAS DAY - family party.

Out inn the wider world worse mayhem continues. Here’s a post from Zarah Sultana:

“Greta Thunberg arrested for standing in solidarity with Palestine hunger strikers. Pensioners charged under terrorism legislation for holding placards opposing genocide. Political prisoners denied due process. A non-violent direct-action group proscribed for the first time in British history. Jury trials stripped away. Arabic words criminalised. Judges hand-picked by the government to oversee judicial reviews.

This is what repression of the movement for Palestinian liberation looks like under a Labour government.

Some may still not care about the genocide of the Palestinian people — or about the role Keir Starmer’s Labour government has played in enabling it through arms sales, RAF surveillance and diplomatic cover.

But everyone should care that our democracy is being systematically hollowed out. That hard-won rights and civil liberties are being deliberately dismantled — not in the name of public safety, but to protect a genocidal apartheid state and the profit margins of weapons manufacturers.

We are not going to take this anymore.”

Think of the displaced people in so many parts of the world while you enjoy your day.

Happy Christmas.

Life goes on. Stay safe and well, everyone!
